Peter McLaren, Jr. with Horses
About 1906 Peter Jr. became a rural delivery mail carrier, using horses and wagon in summer, horses and sleigh in winter.
Mary Celia, Peter Jr.'s wife, wrote on the back of this photo: Pete with old Nancy and her colt. Nancy has traveled the mail route eleven years this fall. She was a colt then and had a mate called Dick. Dick died about six years ago. We wished we had their picture together they were such fine mates.
