John Walker McLaren
Peter Jr.'s brother and my father's uncle, for whom he was named.
Born in Lanark in 1868, John Walker died died suddenly, at age twenty nine. He was a medical student in Minneapolis and the family legend was "a wrestling accident." He is buried next to his parents in the Dixon cemetery in Vienna, South Dakota.
The photo is from cousin Phyllis Goold. Taken at a studio in Watertown, South Dakota, the original was badly damaged.
