Mary Celia (Dixon) McLaren with Robert - 1918

On the back of this photo Mary Celia wrote:  " This is one of the forty three rose bushes.  The flowers are delecate pink in color.  It stands in the back yard just at the edge of the garden.  You can see the clothsline if you look close."
She continues:  "Robert didn't propose to be 'took' and I have a firm grip on the neck of his dress.
This is for mother."
Then Mary Celia's sister wrote:  "Picture of Minnie & Robbie May 6-1918"
Mary Celia's sister was caring for their mother in Vienna, South Dakota.
