Peter McLaren, Jr., son John and grandsons John Dixon McLaren with his son David John and holding James Earl. James was born in April of 1944. In his late seventies, Peter's behavior became erratic. He was hospitalized for more than a year prior to his death in June of 1945. This picture would, therefore, have been taken outside the hospital and is the last photo we have of Grandpa Peter.
