We begin with a Family Tree, centered on my father and mother. This will introduce some of the other surnames important to our presence in California.

The first name we will consider is Captain Robert Arthur Dixon, one of the original settlers in the territory near Vienna, South Dakota. His is a fascinating story and you can read his biography here: Robert Dixon Bio.
